insomniac
You know that something is wrong with your sleeping pattern when you've had enough alcohol to make you sleep soundly but for some reason that escapes you you're still awake at an unearthly time of 3.30am. And you know you're screwed when you remember that you're scheduled to wake up at 7.30am in the morning. Really.
Things have been the same, and you could say it's great. Nobody sulks on short weeks and long weekends and impending liberation. For some, Christmas came early and took them to the Land of Immense Joy and Emancipation but didn't give them money because they look pretty desperate for jobs. Well it beats having a job in an organisation who gives promised monetary awards a year late, if at all. (coughmarksmanshipcough).
Seeing people who've departed for the Land of Immense Joy and Emancipation aka Civilianhood makes me feel that this all is surreal. I could make a chronological list of events we've endured through, burnt weekends for, served confinements/extra for, and still be surprised at how quickly time has flown. I'm still really psyched on ORD-ing but it feels kind of terrible to know that when the really awful things disappear, some of the good things do too.
Emo. Eww.
